Disney’s Riviera Resort is centrally located on Disney property. It is walking distance from Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and it is connected to several resorts and two theme parks via the Skyliner. In my opinion, it is considered an “EPCOT” resort due to its location.

Pools & Other Amenities
Disney’s Riviera Resort also offers guests several fun pool options. Young children can play in the S’il Vous Play splash area. Or, everyone in the family can enjoy the Mediterranean themed main pool, along with a water slide! If you need a quieter atmosphere, the Beau Soleil Pool is considered a “quiet” pool, and is a great place to relax!
Not only does the Riviera offer pools, it also has fun activities and a fitness center. Guests of the resort can take advantage of the Athletique Fitness Center, as well as several running and walking trails. For family fun, you can enjoy the life size chess and bocce ball court!
One unique aspect of Disney’s Riviera Resort is the art. Much of the art displayed inspired Walt Disney to create some of his most popular films. You can even ask at the front desk for a scavenger hunt, and make your way around the resort to find amazing pieces of art. Be sure to return to the front desk for a prize!
Transportation Options at the Riviera Resort
Guests at Disney’s Riviera Resort have two transportation options. First, the Disney Skyliner takes guests to and from EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. For guests visiting Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom, they will access these parks via the Disney motorcoach system. Also, there is a walking path to Caribbean Beach for guests to access the dining options and the Skyliner station if they would like.
Overall, Disney’s Riviera Resort is a luxurious option for families who want resort close to the parks, with the amenities of home. This new resort can meet all your needs for location, nice rooms, updated amenities, and Disney fun for your whole family.
