The world renowned eforea: spa at Hilton added it’s first Canadian location this past April at the Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa.
The 5000 square foot facility features 14 treatment rooms and an exclusive treatment menu including massages, hydrotherapy, facials and some designed specifically for men.
Treatment rooms are soothingly spare with drapes used to hide the products and machines from guests.
There is a treatment room for couples as well as one designed just for men appropriately named “The Cave”.

eforea features a free flowing waterfall, white-washed curved walls and a relaxing sitting area with complimentary beverages, cookies and fruit for guests.

The spa is spotless including the change rooms and the staff is extremely welcoming.
Individualized attention, soothing decor and fragrances, calming music and access to some of the hotel’s amenities made my first spa visit in years a relaxing one.

Spa guests can choose from three distinct ranges of treatments (called “journeys”) at eforea.
The Essentials Journey are technologically advanced treatments that show instant results.
The Escape Journey integrates nourishing organic plant ingredients and traditional healing practices.
The Men’s Journey is a collection of problem-solving re-energizing experiences designed especially for men.
I was intrigued by the eforea Signature Correcting Facial (part of their essentials journey) with microcurrent and nervously made an appointment for a complimentary one as part of a media event at the hotel a few weeks ago.
Would the facial live up to it’s name? Correcting years of sun damage, oily congestion and uneven skin tone? Would it hurt?
After exfoliation, a hydrating peel off masque, cooling eye treatment and a few minutes and what felt like wands and wires rolling over or placed on my face, my face felt soft and smooth.
When I asked my husband what he thought after I came out of the treatment room, his response was “You don’t look tired like a zombie. You don’t have panda eyes and your skin is much more even than before. You look 10 years younger than you did this morning!” Leave it to him to tell it like it is.
And for those who had thoughts of sitting in a lab and having currents zapped at you like you’re Frankenstein like I did when I read the words “with microcurrent”, I can assure you that this facial was anything but painful. It was actually extremely relaxing.
Why Visit eforea: spa at Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites
My husband and I booked a 50 minute couples massage over Canada Day long weekend and both felt relaxed and rejuvenated afterwards.
It was our “date morning” – rather than date night we plan date mornings several times a year as night time is very chaotic and filled with meltdowns – and well worth the money.
Just a 20 minute drive from downtown Toronto, the eforea: spa at Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites is a lovely place to relax – even for parents with young children.
Childcare is available for all spa guests and the childcare room is literally two steps away from the spa’s sitting area.
Treatments are similar to what you would get at some popular spas downtown and the price for them are relatively the same with a few costing a bit less.
The Hilton Markham is near great restaurants, shopping and kid friendly attractions (Vaughan Mills Mall, Canada’s Wonderland, Legoland Discovery Centre, Main Street Unionville) so a treatment or two at eforea can easily be part of a weekend getaway (with or without kids), Toronto vacation or day trip for GTA residents.
A complimentary fruit platter is set up in the spa’s dining area for those booking a couples massage – a great way for some extra quality time with your significant other.
Spa guests are able to take advantage of the hotel’s amenities including the hotel’s gym, sauna, pool and rooftop zen garden. Your day of R&R can be as short or as long as you want.

Wow, beautiful place! That’s my idea of a spa, too bad I don’t live close enough to visit. It would be on my birthday wish list if I lived in the area.
Could I move in there…at least for a weekend :)? What a beautiful spa -I wish I still lived in Markham as I would be there every week!
Love the Hilton! Looks like a stunning beautiful place!
Looks like a gorgeous place to go to! Thanks for the great review
