Disney’s 2014 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

Post last updated October 10, 2018

Last week I spent a few hours exploring the World Showcase at Epcot admiring the topiaries and spending lots of money on delicious dishes from the Outdoor Kitchens (little pop up shops or food stalls).

The 2014 International Flower & Garden Festival was a welcome change from the snow and slush I’ve been seeing for the past few weeks MONTHS at home.

Green, pink, yellow, purple, blue, red, orange …. I was so happy to see plants with leaves! You know it’s been a long winter when….

And oh my goodness, the food. I was so full from stuffing my face with cupcakes, tacos, macarons (Orange Blossom Macaron shown below), duck confit, scones and a whole bunch of other things that I skipped dinner that night.

If you love gardening or food and happen to be in the Disney World area, get yourself to the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival! Your travel scrapbook and belly will be very, very happy!

More photos and a detailed recap to come next week!

Did Monica see this post? She happens to adore Miss Piggy and I think she might just about flip when she checks this out. We may have to lure her over here. 🙂

HA! I didn’t know she adores Miss Piggy. She may just have to schedule a trip to Disney World soon if she wants to see this!

Keryn, I can’t wait. I’m leaving on Saturday for a week in Orlando. We love Epcot and I can’t wait to be enveloped in warmth and flowers, and those macarons look superb too!

this place looks fantastic, I love wandering around show gardens, they are so beautiful and so much work goes into them. Handy if one can have some delicious snacks at the same time 🙂
