Disney Cruise’s Palo Champagne Brunch Review – Is It Worth It?

Post last updated June 7, 2021

If you’re looking for a spectacular food experience on a Disney cruise, check out their adult only dining options – Palo and Remy.

Palo specializes in northern Italian cuisine and for $40 per person, you can get a taste of Italy at Palo either for brunch or dinner.

Disney Cruise Line Palo Champagne Brunch Review - Is this adult only meal worth booking

Champagne Brunch at Palo

My husband and I made Champagne Brunch reservations online a few weeks before our Bahamian cruise and enjoyed a quiet meal together without the kids during a sea day.

I’m not completely sure what they were up to while we were at Palo but something tells me our two kids were on the lookout for some Disney characters with their grandparents.

Brunch at Palo is served as a combination of buffet and table service.

Shortly after we were seated, our server Dragan, took our beverage order.

During brunch, each guest receives a complimentary glass of champagne or a mimosa so we decided to order one of each.

We were given a short tour of the buffet tables and Dragan gave us a list of his must-try items.

Mangia! Mangia!

From breakfast pastries, an antipasti bar, seafood, international cheeses, caviar, a la carte breakfast and lunch items and an artfully arranged dessert bar, my husband and I were eager to eat.

It’s what we do best, what can I say?

Round 1 Favourite Bites – Bloody Mary shot with baby shrimp, Smoked Salmon Mousse, Seared Ahi Tuna, and Caviar.

OK so basically the entire plate was excellent!

We skipped the breakfast buffet items and started on our made to order dishes.

Dragan suggested a Gorgonzola and Grape Pizza (not shown), Chicken Parmesan with Risotto and Oysters Rockefeller.

Round 2 Favourites Bites – All three recommendations did not disappoint.

The gorgonzola was too salty for me but my husband raved about the pizza.

The chicken parmesan may not look like anything fancy but it was mouthwatering – juicy chicken and risotto that wasn’t overcooked.

The oysters were extremely filling and we needed a few minutes of rest afterwards before hitting the dessert table.

In the interest of research, we tried to sample as many desserts as we could for Round 3.

Above is one of several dessert plates my husband and I shared. Dessert was more like Rounds 3, 4 and 5.

Round 3 Favourite Bites – Tiramisu, Mango Panna Cotta and Chocolate Covered Strawberries..

We managed to eat it all and ran up to our room to change into a t-shirt and shorts afterwards – nothing like elastic waist pants after a filling brunch!

Palo is definitely an amazing place and the food in your pictures look amazing. Even the way they display it looks great. I’ve heard others who have liked the Pizza, I wasn’t so sure about grapes on a pizza, but will definitely have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing and linking up to the Favorite Food Friday Hop this week!

I was a bit iffy about grapes on pizza too but it was actually quite nice – sweet mixing in with the savoury. Thanks for hosting the Food Friday Hop Sean 🙂

This looks such a fun thing to do. I guess I’ll have to wait until the grandchildren arrive, but hey, why? I reckon I’d enjoy that lovely food and Palo too 🙂 Thanks for sharing. By the way I found you at Travel Photo Thursday 🙂 Have a happy week.

We totally missed doing this on our Disney cruise a few years ago and now I really regret it. What a great date with your hubby. I like that it’s a combination of buffet and table service. I am drooling at all the food! I guess I’ll be dreaming of all those sweets tonight. This is major inspiration to try and go back to a Disney cruise.

It was definitely a great way to have a quiet meal with my husband. You should definitely make at least one reservation at their adults only restaurants the next time you cruise with Disney, Mary. Worth every penny!
