See in Toronto: Pink Christmas Tree & Reindeer

Post last updated April 19, 2013

Last week at the Toronto Eaton Centre, a 15 metre (50 feet) pink Christmas tree was unveiled to kick off the holiday season.

I’m not too sure what to think about it as I am used to the Swarovski decorated traditional green trees from previous years.

Instead of a red and green colour scheme, this year’s holiday decor at the Eaton Centre features some non traditional colours including pink, purple and orange.

What do you think about this colour scheme – Love It, Hate It or Like It?

Absolutely beautiful! Gosh, I wish I lived there to be able to experience that.

Do they do something similar where you live?

I love your photos from the Toronto Eaton’s Centre. The pink Christmas tree looks like a parasol to me.

Now that you mention it Jenna, I think it looks like a parasol too!

Awh, I missed the tree unveiling this year! *pouts* Will have to go check out that baby, but I already do miss the Swarovski tree. :/ I LOVE those reindeer though! I got some pics of them last year (and a couple this year too… might be starting a new tradition for myself, lol.)

Me too! I miss the Swarovski tree. I really like what they did with the reindeer – I didn’t go last year. Were they the same (pink)?

I truly love all holiday decorating no matter what the colours, but I have to say my favourite holiday colour combos are blue, white and silver!!!

    • Cheryl says

      November 23, 2012 at 11:01 pm

That’s a nice colour combo and it seems to be pretty popular here – almost the same as red, gold and green

I heard it was beautiful in person… can’t wait to get down there and experience the tree and lights!

Gotta say, I love the reindeer but NOT the tree!

I think many feel this way – myself included.

The Reindeer is nice but I wish it was red!!

I don’t mind the pink reindeer. The pink tree looks more like an umbrella to me!

I love traditional Christmas, but, this is very pretty! It must be quite the sight.

It is pretty cool to see in person, Pam! There are 6 reindeer at the Eaton Centre!

It’s my favourite time of year too. Mainly for the 24/7 holiday song radio stations. Much to my husband’s dismay 🙂

I’m an untraditional gal- I love the brightly colored lights, very eye-catching and modern. I bet your little ones loved the display!

They loved it Tonya! Anything that is pink my DD loves. She asked us to buy a pink tree this year for our house. 😉

I saw it on the news. I’m personally more of a traditionalist but I love that they are keeping things fresh.
