Post last updated June 4, 2021

Mickey Mouse is a character that you MUST see when you go to Walt Disney World. He is the mouse that started it all, one of the original Disney characters, and so seeing him in the Disney parks is a “must do” for everyone!

But, how do you know where to find him? And are all Mickeys the same?!

Today, I am going to share my top six places to Meet Mickey Mouse at Walt Disney World, so you can easily seek out everyone’s favorite mouse on your next trip.

Mickey Mouse can be found in all of the Walt Disney World parks. Sometimes, you can even find him in multiple locations at each park.

If meeting Mickey Mouse is on your “must do” list for your trip, you may be glad to know that you can find him in multiple locations, and even in different costumes! You will love finding Mickey all over Walt Disney World property.

This is not a comprehensive list of locations, just my top six that I love for my family, and I hope you do, as well!

Best Places to Meet Mickey Mouse at Disney World - Parks Restaurants and Resorts

Garden Grill Restaurant at EPCOT

This is located in EPCOT’s Future World. This rotating restaurant is my favorite character dining location that involves the “classic” characters at Walt Disney World, and that certainly includes Mickey Mouse!

Here, Mickey Mouse is dressed in his farmer costume, so that makes it extra unique!

Breakfast here is a unique experience, as I have found that this is the best character interaction out of all the character dining experiences at Walt Disney World.

In our experiences, Mickey has even visited our table more than once, and sometimes he and Pluto interact with each other, which is fun!

Adventurer’s Outpost at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park

Tucked away on Discovery Island at Animal Kingdom is the Adventurer’s Outpost. I like this Mickey Mouse meet and greet because he is there with Minnie Mouse as well!

So I feel like it’s a great use of time, and even a FastPass+, at Animal Kingdom. Since they meet together, you can actually get your photo taken with both of them at the same time. This is slightly different from other meet and greets.

While they may be in the same line up of characters, you likely won’t get a photo with more than one character at a time. I love this meet and greet because of the unique and sometimes seasonal costumes and that you can see both of them!

‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Mickey Mouse makes his way to guests while you enjoy a Hawaiian inspired breakfast at the Polynesian Village Resort.

This is actually my second favorite costume of Mickey’s ~ his Hawaiian shirt and lei. It makes for great photos!

Like other character dining locations, it’s a big bang for your buck, and your time, as you see Mickey AND a few other characters. However, he is only here for breakfast, so keep that in mind.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse in Red Carpet Dreams

This is located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And while Minnie is part of the meet and greet, it’s the Mickey that steals the show for me. He is dressed in my all time favorite, classic costume – his Sorcerer’s Apprentice costume.

There is something about this costume that is nostalgic to me, and I love it! I feel like this is one of the more unique Mickey meet and greets because of his costume, and everyone needs to see it.

Minnie’s Seasonal Dine at Hollywood and Vine

While I don’t love Hollywood and Vine for the food, the fact that Mickey is here and in a different costume based on the season, is what puts it on this list. If you can’t make it to a Halloween or Christmas party, then this is worth booking for the characters in their fall and Christmas costumes.

The food isn’t terrible, but it is definitely secondary to the character interaction and theming of this location. We have enjoyed this meal in the summer, so Mickey was in his surfing/swim costume. I really like that the characters change costumes with the seasons at this location.

EPCOT Character Spot

EPCOT Character Spot is located in Future World, and of all these, should be the Mickey meet and greet that you ABSOLUTELY make time for. This meet and greet has Mickey in his classic costume. The red pants, black jacket, and yellow bow tie.

I think this location is perfect for everyone ~ from the smallest Mickey Mouse fan to the oldest one in your travel party who grew up with Mickey Mouse. I like the atmosphere, the background for photos, and that he looks like Mickey at this one!

There are various other locations to meet Mickey Mouse including:

  • Tusker House Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
  • Chef Mickey’s inside Disney’s Contemporary Resort
  • Town Square Theater at Magic Kingdom.

And, if you have a Disney Visa, sometimes you will find him at the exclusive meet and greet for card holders.

Do you have a little one who is shy? Then seeing Mickey in one of the parades at Magic Kingdom might be a better option for your family.

You can catch Mickey from a distance, and maybe even get a photo at all three of these parades:

  • Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire
  • Festival of Fantasy Parade
  • Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party
